Welcome
back to RDS and a brand new school year.
We are
very fortunate at RDS to have a fantastic range of books for your children to
enjoy. Library books allow
children to choose and decide what types of stories and topics they enjoy and
develop the all important love for reading, whilst teaching them how to look
after and care for books.
From the 1st term, we will be allowing the
children to take their library book home to share with you on a weekly basis.
We are also continuing with the ‘Accelerated Reader’ program following it’s
successful introduction to the school last year. More information will be provided regarding the program over
the next few weeks or you can visit the website at www.renlearn.co.uk.
Please
ensure that the library books and Accelerated Reader books provided to the
children are returned in good condition for others to enjoy. If a book is either lost or damaged
beyond repair, we would ask that a replacement be provided to ensure that your
children continue to have a wide choice and variety of books to enjoy.
