bastakiya trip on the 21-11-12

this is a older house that has been restored and decorated .
yesterday we went to the bastakiya for a trip we went there to learn about the old U.A.E so we could compare it to the ancient Aztec times  we went to look at all the old coins and we took a look at the bridge that had been dug up in 1987 and we saw three guys that were restoring the old pottery and making new pieces of art work or pottery made from clay.

Dear Year 5,
Its hard to imagine that how people could have built the houses without all the technology we have today. I'm surprised that houses like these still exist in Dubai. The image we here in Melbourne see of Dubai is often filled with high rise buildings. We'd love to see some more images of your trip.
You can check out our class blog at

Thank you for getting in touch. There are lots of modern buildings in Dubai but by the creek there is still an old part of town. We would love to share our experiences with your class.
